Joseph dunfee

Joe brings 17 years’ experience as a principal investor and strategic executive focused on energy, natural resources, next-generation infrastructure and associated services businesses.

Joe has directly deployed more than $1 billion, helping to drive strategy and achieve successful exits. He began his career as a management consultant based out of Singapore with Accenture, assisting clients to develop infrastructure and mining assets, as well as complete M&A transactions. Joe then joined New Energy Capital, where he focused on investing across the capital structure into alternative energy and sustainable companies, including transforming FLS Energy from an insolvent hot water developer into the third largest PV developer in the US. He subsequently joined GE Ventures to build out their growth-equity strategy and executed the carveout of GE Solar into an independent entity, eventually becoming DSD, a leading C&I solar company. Since 2018, Joe has been working with Scott Troeller to invest across the capital structure into infrastructure assets, development platforms and essential services, originally as part of BlueMountain Capital Management. He holds a BA from Brown University in Commerce, Organizations & Entrepreneurship, an MBA from the International Institute of Management Development, and a Master’s in Finance from Harvard University.
