Aaron Richardson
Principal
Aaron brings 15 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, and entrepreneurship to XIP, with a focus on critical infrastructure and having arranged or executed more than $15 billion in infrastructure-centric capital opportunities. Prior to XIP, Aaron co-founded SMC Infrastructure Partners, where he assembled a team of 12 professionals and secured over $1 billion in capital and financing partnerships. He previously held roles as private company CFO and Senior Advisor in the infrastructure services and technology sectors. He began his career in finance at Whitehall Capital, where he focused on renewable power and infrastructure services, and at KeyBanc Capital Markets in the Financial Sponsors group.
Aaron holds a BS in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a James B. Tafel Scholarship recipient and awarded the McKay Prize in Economics.
