Principal, investments
Joe brings 17 years of experience as a principal investor and strategic executive in energy, natural resources, and next-generation infrastructure to XIP, having directly deployed more than $1 billion across these sectors. Prior to XIP, Joe was a Principal
at InfraNext Partners, a spin-out of BlueMountain Capital Management. At GE Ventures, he built out the firm’s growth-equity strategy, and led the carveout of GE Solar into DSD, now a leading C&I solar company. Earlier, at New Energy Capital, he invested across the capital structure in alternative energy and sustainable companies, including transforming FLS Energy from an insolvent hot water developer into the third-largest PV developer in the US. Joe began his career as a management consultant with Accenture in Singapore, advising clients on infrastructure and mining assets and M&A transactions.
Joe holds a BA in Commerce, Organizations & Entrepreneurship from Brown, a master’s in finance from Harvard, and an MBA from IMD, Lausanne.
