ANALYST / ASSOCIATE (posted March 2026)

This position will be initially remote, with potential relocation to Palm Beach, where XIP expects to open an office.

Role Overview

As an analyst working across both Advisory and Investment divisions, you’ll be at the forefront of energy transition and infrastructure investments, helping shape the future of renewable energy development, distributed energy resources, electric mobility solutions, digital infrastructure, emerging clean technology and much more.

This unique opportunity offers direct mentorship from industry veterans who have built and scaled successful enterprises. Reporting to the firm’s Principals, you’ll develop comprehensive financial analysis skills while gaining deep expertise in rapidly evolving markets. The role provides dual exposure to both advisory work and investment decisions, along with exceptional visibility into senior-level decision-making and deal execution. As an early team member, you’ll help build a best-in-class organization while developing hands-on experience across the entire transaction lifecycle in high-growth sectors driving the energy transition.

We also expect our team to become increasingly familiar, if not already, with AI and how AI can be used more efficiently to manage our dealflow and project execution, among other things. 

 


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analyses across project finance and corporate finance transactions.
  • Client Interaction: Assist in preparing presentations and pitch materials for client materials. Actively participate in client discussions and contribute to strategic recommendations.
  • Transaction Execution: Collaborate with team members to manage the execution of transactions, including due diligence, document preparation, and coordination with external advisors.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other analysts, associates, and senior leadership to ensure the successful completion of projects within tight deadlines, adhering to the highest standards of excellence at all times.
  • Industry Research: Perform industry and market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Has (or will obtain) the following licenses: SIE, Series 63, 79, 82.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, project finance, M&A, or a similar role. Renewables experience a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial analysis. Command of Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of Canva, various CRM software, and AI prompt engineering a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and quantitative reasoning skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Team Player: Self-motivated individual with the highest sense of integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and who is excited by the prospect of building something new.

 

Compensation

  • The expected base salary for this position will be near or at-market depending upon the skill level.
  • The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a range of factors including relevant skills, experience, education, licenses and certifications held, and other things.
  • In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, the position is eligible for additional types of compensation, including discretionary bonuses.
